Sub: Conviser or Long outline for state subjects?

For anyone who has already taken a bar exam wherever, did the Conviser mini provide you with adequate knowledge for the STATE portion of your particular exam? I'm just wondering how much I'm expected to recall from that ridiculous BarBri long outline. Some of it seems so nit-picky and overly detailed. But I also don't want to be underprepared by solely relying on the Conviser. Thoughts? I'm preparing for Florida, if that matters. Thanks.

I have taken the CBX in CA twice, and haven't passed yet. I think thrd time will be the charm. But I found the conviser mini review for the most part incomprehensible. SOme topics such as torts, and crim law are OK, but state topics for the most part where disastors.
I think I failed the first time because I spent too much time trying to understrand the CMR. The second time I mostly studied from the lecture handouts used with the audio lectures. I passed 4 out of 6 essays on the second try, on the first try I had failed evert essay.
Also,on the lecture tapes for the 2008, CA barbri, every lecturer pretty much said that the notes were meant to be comprehensive, and wink wink, not to worry about CMR.

I took Florida a couple years ago. I read the long outline once through for each subject but used the conviser to study. It was more than adequate for me. The key for Florida was to learn all the info in the lecture book. The multiple choice on the state portion is pretty tricky but everything you need to know is in the lecture book.
Good luck and I hope that helps!

Thanks to both of you for the advice. And good luck on the CBX, greattenor. By the way, are you a great tenor for real?
