I am taking Kaplan MPRE prep but they don't show me how to calculate an MPRE score based on the percent I get right. How is that done? What is they math?

It's hard to adjust Raw to Scaled on MPRE as everyone in the nation takes it and it is scaled accordingly.

Good rule of thumb is...28-32 = 75-80 passing range; if you want a 81-86 (as are the higher scale requirements) then you should aim for about 35.

I know it's not an ideal scale, but that's as good as I can get it for you.

if you get about 35 - 40 questions out of 60 correct you are safe to pass with an 85. The reasons I say about 35 - 40 is because you don't know what questions would be experimental. On the actual exam you need to get about 32 - 36 correct.

I have a problem. I have been taking barbri practice tests and I get 40 - 45 correct.. however on themis I got 14 out of 30.. Is themis harder than barbri or what is the deal?

I did not do well using Barbri on my first go around and did not get the number I needed.

I actually used the free book Kaplan provides to law students. Improved my scaled score by 13 points.

Most barprep companies offer mpre free (barbri and Kaplan included of course)
I say sign up for all. Check it all out. If one feels like a better fit (like trying on shoes) go for it.
Why not? It costs NOTHING to do AND Is a good indicator of which barprep will be best for you. (date before you marry people)
