Anyone know exactly what it takes to go solo in NY? I'm looking online and even took that starting your own solo practice CLE course NY offers but it didn't give me much guidance. Where can I form my business entity? Legal Zoom? I was thinking an LLC may be my best option- what do you think? I heard a PC is no longer a good option. Do I need to report anything to the bar association? Am I considered a law firm once I form my entity and open up my account?

I do not know where to start- I am doing this out of my home for now to keep my overhead low. ANY guidance would be really appreciated! Thanks!
