I have a LL.B. from India and am considering a LL.M. in human rights. I don't think I am going to sit for any bar exam. How is the job scene like? Is a LL.M. degree really a value add? Is bar exam the only aveneue to secure a job? Can recent LL.M. grads in similar fields please comment? Thanks!

I am from India too. It's very difficult to find a job if you are a foreign law school graduate. I think LLM will help. Also, I think it is important that you are licensed to practice in the state where you want to work.

My 2 cents.

If you are looking to US states, New York and California are more permissive for foreign applicants than most jurisdictions.
