does anyone know if PMBR still provides the audio tapes for the MBE lectures? (I know not actual tapes...but CD's or whatever form them come in). I am preparing for not passing Texas - mostly for the MBE portion. I need a contracts review as its been 12 years since law school...so I'm thinking PMBR would be a good review as barbri was AWFUL.

anyone use PMBR audio tapes and had luck? I used them 8 years ago...but need new ones.

THey are audtio lectures for Kaplan PMBR. They address all 6 mbe topics, and even give you hints and stuff to look out for on the bar. I've just gone through the torts one, and i must admit, it is FAR SUPERIOR than Barbri's. I cant believe i blew almost 3,000 on that shi*** review course...

I definitely second the motion to look into Kaplan PMBR tapes for the MBE. I took the course for the CA Bar and also found it far superior to the Bar Bri materials.

Happy to be an Esquire.

If anyone still has audio available for the six topic areas I would LOVE to hear from you. It's been ten years since I've taken a bar and I've got five weeks before I try for another state.

Email me at bejabo@yahoo.com

Hey.  I saw your discussion concerning the PMBR lecture CDs.  Did you ever receive them from the person that told you to email him/her?  If so, would you mind sending a copy to me?  I really don't have the money to spend on the CDs, but I found them useful when I took the bar 5 years ago.

Thanks.

The CDs are available online from Amazon. Used is from $38 and new is from $52. That's a lot cheaper than the $299 that the other poster saw online.

I know the idea is that its cheaper than paying to login to watch the newer ones, and can repeat for free if repeater

I get that

but they are outdated as hell, its BAD idea

cheap=fail

I used the old PMBR cds and Barbri lectures for the Feb 2019 bar and they were excellent. However, understand that the law changes over time, the format of the exam changes over time, and what is tested changes too. Therefore, know what is and isn't on the NCBE schedule outline so you, for example, can fast forward over water rights. Lots of things are not tested anymore. I'd be surprised if RAP makes it more than one or more administrations before disappearing from the bar. These materials are an excellent way to get familiar with these topics during otherwise dead time like the daily commute. It's not just the facts that you are looking for, it's the organization. Their approach to the topic and how they break down is critical. For example, Contracts into just six testing topics, and knowing how each part is tested makes you a stronger candidate. This part of the lesson will not change one little bit over time. They are classics. The lecture on Secured Transactions practically wrote my MEE essay, my additional study was minimal.

I whole heartedly recommend them, and suggest you use them with the 245 page Studicata outline. That will adequately prepare you for the essays, and help a lot with the MBE. If you have the cash, you can go with Crushendo. They have great outlines and offer audio too.
