Currently making $105K a year salary as a Senior Contract Manager at a Tech Company in SF. It is a non-attorney position, but I am licensed and everyone at work knows that I am licensed. I do other legal stuff that comes up around the office too. I am basically the legal dept, but they haven't really promoted me to be inside counsel mainly because other than dealing with terms and conditions of a contract, there isn't much more to do.

Should I stay or should I go actually practice law. Did not go to a top law school, so my only option would be to start my own firm. Only problem is I know nothing about How to Practice Law.

Thoughts?

The salary beats more lawyer jobs. If tech then take patent bar too. That will increase your value to them and likely lead to further promotions and salary increases.
